March 2026 – Group Hockey Game Outing
March 2026 – The group went to an Ottawa 67’s (OHL) hockey game – no fights but the 67’s beat the Peterborough Petes 6-3.
June 2025 – Andrew, Jake, Marco, Ohmin, Jun & Rosa present at the Canadian Chemistry Conference(CSC 2025)
The Canadian Chemistry Conference (CSC2025) was held in Ottawa this year. Group members Andrew and Marco gave oral presentations in the ‘Artificial Intelligence in Biomolecular, Materials, and Molecular Design’ session. Jake, Andrew, Ohmin, Jun and Rosa presented posters.

Congratulations to Sari who was awarded a national NSERC USRA fellowship and to Sydney who was awarded a WISE scholarship from the University – both to work in the lab during the summer.
April 2025 – Congrats to Sydney and Rhiannon for their award winning undergrad theses.
Congratulations to Sydney and Rhiannon for successfully defending their undergrad thesis work. Rhiannon was awarded the best undergraduate thesis in Chemistry and Sydney was awarded the Hypercube undergraduate thesis award. Sydney’s thesis was titled “The Effect Of Chemically Invalid Metalorganic Frameworks On The Predictive Abilities Of Machine Learning Models” and Rhiannon’s thesis was titled ” […]

January 2024 – Our ARC-MOF paper in Chemistry of Materials Editor’s highlights of 2023

January 2024 – The Woo lab hosts the annual meeting for the ACO2RDS project
The Woo lab is part of the multi-disciplinary ACO2RDS project involving several research groups from Canada, USA, Germany and France. The goal is to study and develop adsorption based CO2 capture systems. This year the lab hosted the annual meeting at the University of Ottawa.
